Mission Statement The Little Blue Book Literacy Program, Inc. is committed to promoting reading, education, teaching our youth the importance of energy conservation and alternative energy solutions for the preservation of our Planet and future. Our Vision LBBLP’s vision is developing strong scholastic aptitude within children that prepares them to excel in life. Our passion is to ensure every child is equipped with a fair opportunity in life and in academics. Our vision enhance student scholastic performance by giving school supplies, coats and shoes to children—-not excluding environmental awareness to youth. The members of Little Blue Book Literacy Program, Inc. strive to alleviate emotional despair of children, which aids in proper inter and intrapersonal skill development. Executive Board Gerome Meminger, Sr., Founder and President of the Little Blue Book Literacy Program, Inc. a 501c (3), non- profit    organization, based in Hampton, Virginia, of the Greater Hampton Roads Tidewater area. Mr. Meminger, Sr. is a successful entrepreneur as an artist, author and publisher. As a visionary, he contributes part of his success from acquired interpersonal communication skills as a military leader, now retired. With twenty-three years of loyal service, Mr. Meminger, Sr. leads with a strong sense of charisma and has a cutting-edge leadership style, which allows for the highest levels of organizational performance with his culturally diverse team of innovative professionals. Linda Meminger, Vice-President of LBBLP executive board. She has thirty years expertise as a soft ware engineer and performed proficiently for fifteen years as a supervisor with Verizon. In addition, Ms. Meminger possesses information technology experience, for systems and program efficiency. As an effective and proficient leader, Ms. Meminger’s focus efforts are strategic planning, project development and system networking. For seven years, she has been the active General Manager for Art By Gerome Galleria located in the business district of downtown Hampton City, Virginia. Derick Norris, Chief of Operations/Chaplain of LBBLP executive board. Mr. Norris is a successful renaissance entrepreneur as founder and CEO of a non-profit organization known as Creative Empowerment of Hampton Roads of Portsmouth, Virginia. His seven years of professional expertise comprise of organizational development, marketing, public affairs, and psychosocial development. Jennifer Hilliard, Administrator of LBBLP executive board. Ms. Hilliard has twenty-six years of extensive experience in project planning, marketing, and financial management.  In addition, she posse’s superb business communications skills that is recognizable in her effective interpersonal relations skills, planning and execution of program initiatives that warrants high accolades.  She currently assigned with Northrop Grumman Newport News as a Senior Financial Analyst. Janis Russel, Treasurer of LBBLP executive board. Ms. Russel has an impeccable background in finance management and interpersonal communication skills. She is a coordinator for Sun Trust Banks, Inc. Her twenty-three years of professional expertise comprise of finance systems management, personnel development and customer service regime. Gerome Meminger, Jr., Human Resources Director of LBBLP executive board. Mr. Meminger, Jr. has effective leadership dexterity with nine years in human resources management and eight years of leadership in the field of telecommunications.
